The Handsback Hitter is one training aids we've used a lot. That said, we don't use it exactly per manufacturer's specs. The Pro (the one we use with 13-15 year olds, but okay for 10 and up), has an added benefit - you can switch it around for lefties and righties, so you can use it for working both inside (out front) and outside (deeper contact) pitches. We also set the ground elbow to minimum extension to keep the swing tight, and we work with our hitters to connect with the ball on the pop up, not the down arc. This is to avoid any disconnect in body mechanics midswing (stride and hip turn happen in sync). It gets a workout both at practices and during pre-game routines. - Richard Todd, WebBall Head Coach
