Who's doing the analysis? This is a joint project between WebBall and BioForce Baseball. All initial video analysis is done by Bill Mooney, BioForce head honcho, an elite-level instructor, certified by the National Pitching Association. WebBall is thrilled about our current partnership with BioForce in Oregon. This is the right way to deliver the analysis you need to improve your training. - Richard Todd, WebBall

of the video analysis process
Each video analysis will...
- Talk directly to the player about strengths and weaknesses while showing the video clip of pitching delivery or swing mechanics.
- Break down the action into slow-motion and freeze frame with graphics super-imposed..
- Measure tempo and rhythm to help with consistency.
- Measure spine angles, posture changes, and timing, while visually showing how current pitching or hitting mechanics may be robbing you of valuable pitching velocity or killing bat speed.
- Compare multiple pitching deliveries or swings side by side or with an overlay to illustrate the challenges with control or where power is bleeding away.
- Drop short video clips into your personal analysis to show you some great drills to help increase pitching velocity and improve control, or optimize ball-bat contact and increase hitting power.

Tips on submitting videos...
- You can submit existing video clips or create new ones.
- Format should be .avi or .mov (Windows Media Player or QuickTime) whichever your camera outputs.
- Frame Rate: from 30-300 fps (frames per second), the more the better.
- Suggested frame size of 512x384 pixels. Resulting file size can be up 30+ Mb if necessary.
- For hitting we recommend front side view (at 90 degrees to the direction of the pitch). Try to include a mix of swings - in/out, high/low.
- For pitching, directly in front (as shown, behind a screen) or at 90 degrees to the direction of the pitch. We prefer to see pitches from both angles. Top view optional. Try to include 2 fastballs, plus other pitch types.
- No additional software to buy, and no special computer skills are required to upload your clips to us or download our analysis.
