The story behind the bat...
TomCat baseball bats are currently in use by elite players throughout North America. Made only from select hard maple or yellow birch stock grown from the hardwood forests of northern New England and the eastern townships of Canada, the billets (hardwood squares) are cut and vacuum dried to 6-8% moisture content (to ensure color integrity, no residual stresses.) Then TomCat takes over.
Although the stock is 100% clear of defects and no cross grain, only 10-15% of the run are straight-grained enough to qualify for Tom Cat Pro bats. All bats are lathed to exacting standards under the watchful eyes of Tom Roberts, master craftsman (that's him under the sawdust).
